New destination also supplements our services to the former Yugoslavia

"In the second half of last year, when the economy once more began to clamber out of the abyss, we received increasing numbers of orders and enquiries for consignments to Austria and the former Yugoslavia," says Remco Ipenburg.

"We were despatching trucks only once per week to the former Yugoslavia. Our clients often asked for more frequent services, but until August we were unable to meet their requirements. As Austria lies ideally on this route, we of course set out to find a solution in this region. And we found that solution very quickly, as Lagermax, our partner in Hungary, has two branches in Austria: Vienna and Salzburg. And wouldn't you know it: Salzburg is the central HUB from where all services for the former Yugoslavia leave," explains Ipenburg.

With this new destination, we at Van Duuren have not only expanded our network in Austria, we are now able to meet our clients' wishes by providing more frequent services to the former Yugoslavia.
Since August, Van Duuren Districenters has trucks leaving daily for Austria, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary and Macedonia. In this way, consignments for western Austria, including the industrial town of Wiener Neudorf and the capital city Vienna, can now be combined, so that Van Duuren can offer an even quicker delivery schedule. The result is that deliveries can be made in the whole of Austria within a maximum of 72 hours after collection.
